I like this a lot (probably because of the cathedral and TS Eliot); and you convey the awful reality of new hearing aids with an app perfectly. I know you are mostly hibernating: but I hope it is easier to use them with Alison; and that, when you do emerge, find them simpler in the outside world, too.

The writing here is immediate, and conveys your feelings and happenings beautifully. Thank you, Paul… – it felt a great privilege to be able to read these notes: some of which are quite moving. Take care.

Thank you Stephen. Now you shine a light on it, Cathedrals and Eliot seems right.

I had never heard of the Traveler's pencil before. Now I think I'd like to have one.

You’ve been to Marmadukes twice??!! Paul!! The cathedral sounds lovely. I would be ashamed to say I’ve never been in it, but you know me, free time is moor time. Though I did enjoy that lovely church we visited with Scout last year. Maybe I’ll make the effort to go 🙂

This was the one on Norfolk Row. What gets me is the price, this was august, compared to the other day at the one just off the moor.

I’ll look at pictures of the food online 😂

The 'winding down years' are good, aren't they, if we let them be...

Yes. And you are so right, I have to let them be. One of the best things about getting old is that no one pays any attention to you, so you can just sit and listen and watch.

I think I'm still a bit visible, but just letting the world wash through me as I observe sounds an attainable skill 💙
